Today I have prepared a list of visa-free countries for 2021. Countries that have been affected by changes compared to 2021 are highlighted separately, and I have provided explanations for them. Very often, visa issues become an obstacle to a good holiday. Firstly, additional funds are needed to obtain a visa, secondly, processing and collecting documents takes time, thirdly, a visa may simply be refused, and then this threatens the loss of not only your vacation, but also part of the paid funds (if you have already bought a voucher or tickets). And you can only dream about buying a last-minute tour without a visa. Therefore, countries with which we have visa-free relations and are suitable for inexpensive beach holidays are traditionally popular among Russians.

2021 opens a new stage of impressions and travel. If you look at the calendar of holidays and weekends, you can add a few more days of rest provided by the state to the traditional vacation. To plan your trips, I recommend familiarizing yourself with the visa requirements of countries. I divided them into several parts:

• Countries where a visa is not required for Russians;
• Countries where a visa is issued on arrival (conditionally visa-free);
• Countries where you can get a visa online.

I also provided information about the maximum period of stay on the territory of the state without a visa. The specified data is relevant for holders of Russian citizenship. Currently, the list of countries that provide Russian citizens with the opportunity to enter without a visa is quite impressive.

If you still don’t have a passport or it’s expiring, don’t worry. There are countries where entry is carried out with a Russian passport and without visas in 2021. There are not many of them, but they exist. Visiting them is very easy as no other documents are required. You simply buy a plane, train or bus ticket and head off to new adventures. Countries you can enter without a passport

Abkhazia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan allow tourists from Russia to stay on their territory for no more than 90 days. After this, you need to register or leave the countries.

You can enter these states using an internal passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation.

Belarus

Russians can stay in the Republic of Belarus for up to 90 consecutive days. You don't need a passport for this.

After the specified period, you must extend your stay or leave the country.

Most tourists go to the Republic of Belarus for shopping. The goods there are high quality and inexpensive. The country has many natural, architectural and historical monuments. Belarus has cheap housing, public transport and food.

Montenegro

Montenegro is home to the second largest Tara Canyon in the world. Its length is about 82 kilometers, maximum depth is about 1,300 meters. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Spur Monastery, as if carved into a rock, is located at an altitude of about 900 meters above sea level. The country has many picturesque lakes where you can get a good fishing catch.

Entry and stay in Montenegro without a visa is possible if you have a foreign passport. The maximum stay is 30 days from October to May.

In summer, citizens of the Russian Federation can stay in the country for up to 90 days.

Serbia

A visa to Serbia is not required. A foreign passport is enough, which allows you to stay in the country for 30 days.

Cyprus

A single-entry visa to Cyprus for Russians is issued online within 1 business day. You can stay in the country for 90 days. There is no visa fee. The rules for entering Cyprus with a pro-visa allow crossing the border only upon arrival at the airport from Russia.

Cyprus has the longest summer weather for beach holidays of any European country. You can swim here even in October. The air temperature at this time will be 26-30 degrees.

Visa-free countries for Russians 2021 in Asia

Asian countries are visited for a limited number of days:

• 14 – Hong Kong, Taiwan (in the form of an experiment);
• 15 – Vietnam (the next visit is allowed after 30 days), Laos;
• 30 – Maldives islands (documentary proof of departure from the republic and hotel reservations), Macau, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia (entry through specific ports, for example, Bali, Denpamsar).
• 90 for a period of 180 days – Mongolia (up to 30 days), South Korea (60 days).

If the purpose of visiting Singapore is transit (tickets are required), then there is a limited time period of up to 96 hours. But it’s worth considering that you need to apply for a visa to this country if there is no transit, or you decide to stay for a period exceeding the limit.

It is worth visiting Singapore for at least a week, but there are difficulties in obtaining a visa. Details can be found on the official website of the Singapore Consulate.

Where can you go with a visa from other countries 2021

There are several countries for which you do not need to obtain a visa if you have entry permits from other countries. This rule often applies to closely located neighboring countries. Thus, in one trip, without unnecessary paperwork, you can visit several countries at once.
