The period for obtaining a residence permit on the basis of No. 257-FZ, which came into force on August 2, 2019, should now not exceed four months. Unfortunately, these deadlines are not always met.

Checking the validity of a residence permit on the FMS website does not guarantee the availability of information about the migrant’s documents in the system. The resource is updated very often, and information becomes outdated and deleted.
Although there is no way to check the authenticity of a residence permit online yet, you can take advantage of the newness of the document and enter the available information on the GUVM website. To do this you need to know:
