Russian citizenship: rumored and reliably A great advantage for residents of the Moldovan Republic is the possibility of changing their affiliation to Russian according to a simplified scheme. Dear citizens, when independently filling out an application for a foreign passport along with the package of documents required to acquire citizenship of the Russian Federation, be sure to read the following instructions for filling out: SAMPLE application for the issuance of a salary, Regulations, man SAMPLE application for the issuance of a salary, Regulations, woman SAMPLE application for the issuance of a salary, Regulations, child SAMPLE application for the issuance of a salary, Regulations, blank form Attention! Based on applications for admission to Russian citizenship, many residents of Moldova, primarily the Transnistrian region, were given decisions to refuse citizenship due to the fact that they provided knowingly false information about themselves. The Embassy warns that refunds to applicants in these cases are not provided.

This category includes persons born on the territory of the USSR and permanently residing in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, we inform you that the date of the collapse of the USSR as a state is considered to be 1991 December 26 Consultations on all issues related to Russian citizenship are carried out only on working days Mon-Fri: from 9:00 to 17:00 Lunch: from 13:00 to 14:00 Sat-Sun: Closed Reception by appointment only telephone: + 373 (533) 533 - 63 Documents required for application: - PMR passport (copy and original) - Certificate of birth of the PMR - USSR passport of the 1974 model - Birth certificate and LBG certificate - Application for the issuance of a foreign passport (filled out) 2 pcs. Obtaining Russian citizenship by residents of Transnistria What documents are needed to replace a Russian foreign passport? To exchange a foreign passport, you must fill out an Application for Issuance of a Passport and a Requirement. Important There are two ways to fill it out:

  • The first way is to go to the website https://passportzu.kdmid.ru 1-2 days before going to the embassy and fill out sample documents there.

Attention Completed documents must be printed (they are in standard World format), and please note - the Application consists of two pages, which must be printed on both sides of the sheet. Applications must be 2 copies, Requirement - one. Available in both black and white and color.

Attention: But the website does not indicate that it is necessary to make copies of all documents provided! Therefore, do not forget about copies - at the embassy, if something is missing, they send it back. Prices for replacing an international passport Money: to replace a standard international passport of the Russian Federation, you need to pay 390 lei in state fees. It is mandatory to pay in lei; payments in dollars and other currencies are not accepted.

A biometric passport costs about 2 times more. In Tiraspol, payment is accepted only in dollars!

  • for 5 years - 30 dollars
  • for 10 years - 80 dollars

Changing your passport The commandant shouts out your name, and if you are in Chisinau, you find yourself in a small room with shabby walls and ceilings covered with stains, which eloquently testify to the greatness of the empire and great love for their fellow citizens. Everything is better and more pleasant in Tiraspol. The fact that you stood outside the embassy for 4 hours does not mean that you will be received here right away. On average, after getting to the embassy you need to wait about an hour more. Therefore, you need to go to the Russian Embassy in warm clothes (in winter), a supply of mineral water (in summer) and a lot of patience.

Why it is impossible in Chisinau to divide the number of people who signed up into 2 or 3 groups, so that people do not wait - this is a mystery. There are two groups in Tiraspol: for 9 o'clock and 11. When you call for an appointment, they will tell you. Of course, we must pay tribute to the employees of the institution - they work very quickly, process thousands of documents per day, try to help those who apply, and one can envy their calmness and restraint.

So, we go to the window and, with bated breath, submit the documents. This article will discuss replacing a standard international passport. Making an appointment at the Embassy In order to make an appointment for a passport exchange, you need to call the Russian Embassy in Chisinau at the number. This number is constantly busy, so sit down near the phone, turn on auto-dial and intensively attack this number with calls for 1-2 hours.

Important: At the end, a woman will answer you and indicate the date of your appointment. Without an appointment, the embassy will not accept you, and without a call, they will not register you. Therefore, the telephone is the only way to victory. Moreover, it doesn’t matter where you will change your passport in Chisinau or Tiraspol, you still need to register in Chisinau using the above phone numbers. We prepare documents for the exchange of Russian foreign passports in Tiraspol or Chisinau. After registration, we prepare the documents.

Package of documents required to obtain citizenship

Depending on which country you are a citizen of, the required package of documents will depend. In general, the following documents may be needed:

Purchase procedure

Russia's support for the PMR raises hopes among residents of the region for relaxations when applying for a Russian passport. However, by law, all foreigners are required to act according to the same rules.

For those who are wondering how to obtain Russian citizenship for a citizen of Transnistria, you can answer the following:

  • firstly, its acquisition occurs in accordance with the Law “” dated May 31, 2002 No. 62-FZ;
  • secondly, this can be done as a citizen of the Republic of Moldova or as a stateless person in ordinary or, which depends on the grounds available to the applicant.

Normal order

The standard procedure consists of several stages:

  1. It is necessary to arrive in Russia legally. For residents of Transnistria, this means that they must have a passport from a recognized state. Usually they travel abroad using passports from Russia, Moldova or Ukraine. The presence of a Russian identity document in itself means citizenship of this country, therefore we are talking about the last two documents. Needed at the border.
  2. Register for migration at the point of arrival within 7 days.
  3. (TRP), it is valid for three years and cannot be extended.
  4. After a year, you can apply for a (residence permit), this document is valid for five years and can be extended.
  5. After five years of residence in Russia with a residence permit, you can apply for citizenship.

In general, its design in this manner takes about eight years.

Simplified procedure

The Russian Federation considers itself the legal successor of the Russian Empire and the USSR, therefore it assumes responsibility for the former citizens of these states and their descendants. In this regard, at the legislative level, a very large group of people have the right to obtain Russian citizenship under a simplified procedure.

Grounds for acquiring Russian citizenship according to a simplified scheme:

  1. , even if there is only one Russian among the parents.
  2. Previously having citizenship of the USSR and not having received any other citizenship since its collapse, subject to residence within the borders of the USSR.
  3. Birth on the territory of Russia.
  4. Three years of being legally married to a Russian man/woman.
  5. Obtaining education in Russia and 3 years of work in it.
  6. Large investments in the Russian economy.
  7. Entrepreneurial activity in the Russian Federation with the payment of at least 1 million taxes to its budget within 3 years.
  8. Official purchase. The status is available to those who either lived in Russia themselves or had ancestors who lived there.
  9. Acceptance in .

Possibility of dual citizenship

The Russian Constitution allows for dual citizenship on the basis of interstate treaties. Currently, such an agreement is valid only with Tajikistan. But since Russia does not recognize the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, having its passport does not seem to violate anything.

Dual citizenship for Transnistrians is permitted by local citizenship law. Purchasing another passport under this law does not lead to loss of civil status in the territory of the PMR. Thus, if you have passports of two states, Russia will consider you its citizen, and the PMR will consider you its citizen, with all the ensuing rights and responsibilities.
