Sample itinerary for a Schengen visa

When preparing for their first independent trip, many are faced with the fact that consulates require documents from them that they have never heard of before. One of such documents is a route sheet

trips.

So what is a route sheet

and how to compose it? Below is a sample itinerary sheet, as well as examples of sample letters to hotels, samples of certificates from the place of work and from the bank, and a sample sponsorship letter.

Route sheet

A route sheet is only required when traveling by car. This document is not regulated in any way and is drawn up in free form.

Considering that you will have to travel through several countries, the consulate needs to understand how competent it is to apply for a visa to them.

From the presented route sheet

it becomes clear how many days you will spend in each country. It must cover the entire period of stay in the Schengen area.

What should be indicated in the itinerary:

1. Dates of stay at the hotel (indicated from which date to which date) 2. Country and city of location of this hotel 3. Name of the hotel, including its full address and telephone number

This list is optional. You can add other fields as you see fit, or remove any of the existing ones. We have been using this route sheet format for more than 5 years, and it has never raised any questions.

We consider the table to be the most convenient form of presenting data in the route sheet as it is the most visual. But this is also not necessary, you can use any other one.

Below is a sample itinerary.

It is important! The more detailed the itinerary is, the more convincing it looks in the eyes of the Consulate staff, clearly demonstrating a serious, balanced approach to the planned trip, which will undoubtedly affect the speed of obtaining a visa.

Letters to hotels

When you book a hotel on the website of one of the online agencies such as Booking.com, you will receive a confirmation. This confirmation is issued automatically by the system. Some consulates require confirmation directly from the hotel to obtain a visa. Moreover, they require that the confirmation be sent by fax, and not by email, on the hotel’s letterhead.

To do this, you will have to contact the hotel directly and ask them to send this confirmation. If you explain what you need, this can significantly speed things up. Not all hotels understand why confirmation is needed and what it should look like.

Below is a sample text of such a letter to the hotel with a request to send a booking confirmation.

Description of Schengen visa

A Schengen visa is a special document, which is issued at the request of the interested person if it is necessary to visit the Schengen zone. The Schengen zone is a territory of 26 countries, each of them allows movement within its territory with a visa. That is, formally the movement occurs as within one state. The 26 Schengen states are divided into those that are part of the EU and EFTA.

The EU is a union of European states, and EFTA is a partnership agreement for trade and general presence in the Schengen area. Norway, Iceland, Croatia and Liechtenstein are not part of the EU, but are part of the Schengen area and are therefore accessible to visitors.

There are three visa categories:

  • A – parameter according to which citizens traveling to other countries are allowed to travel, but through airports in the Schengen zone. In this case, the right to unhindered access to the transit zone is given.
  • Category B gives permission to visit a Schengen state once for a specified period.
  • Category C gives you the right to visit the Schengen zone for a certain period of up to a year, which is established by the visa regime.
  • D – category granting the right to visit the Schengen zone for a long period of time.

Important! Receipt of all documents is accompanied by confirmation of the citizen’s solvency. There are several possible options for providing certificates: from the place of work and a certificate from the bank about the stable state of the account with a certain amount of funds on it.

If you provide a certificate from your place of work, please indicate the following information:

  • Details and name of the organization.
  • The applicant's position and current salary.
  • Signature of the director and accountant of the company in which the work is carried out.
  • Confirmation of the document with the official seal of the organization.

It is also possible to provide a bank statement to inform about the status of the account and an official sponsorship letter from the legal entity providing payment means to the citizen.

Route sheet

Visiting other countries during a trip by means of transportation such as a bus, train, ship, minibus or plane requires only a passport for identification. But if you need to travel by personal transport, then you will need a route sheet.

A route sheet is a type of official document that is developed in accordance with the general legislation of the Russian Federation. According to the rules that are regulated for the entire Schengen area, a citizen can move around regardless of the country. The Schengen zone states do not require special filling out of the itinerary sheet, however, it is necessary to fill out everything correctly and avoid erasures and corrections.

During the trip, the following data package is sent to the consulate of the destination country:

  • The route through the state to which the citizen is traveling, with an exact indication of the duration of stay and the length of stay in each.
  • Providing information about the hostel or hotel intended for stopping, indicating full details and reservations.
  • If accommodation is provided in a car, then special parking spaces are indicated.
  • When stopping at a campsite, the name is recorded.

Camping makes it much more difficult to fill out an itinerary sheet; this requires indicating the date of departure and arrival at the site, as well as when registration will take place.

The contents of the route sheet form, namely the parts to be filled out:

  • The route of the autotourist in the Schengen country with a detailed route of travel.
  • Countries, places and towns in which the tourist will stop overnight during the trip. An indication of the length of time during which the person will live in these places is required.
  • A complete description of all calendar dates, which includes a detailed route for moving around the country and staying in places that are necessary for stopping.

Consulates and state authorities track the route of the tourist, the date is counted from the moment the person visited across the borders of a state located in the Schengen zone. It is mandatory to have a document confirming the citizen’s place of residence for the time he will spend in the state. The route must be strictly described point by point and all data presented. It is recommended to use a tabular form.

Route sheet for Schengen visa: sample

There are no clear rules for providing an itinerary sheet in the form, but you must adhere to a business style when submitting papers. The following additional information must also be included in the itinerary document:

  • Year of birth of the applicant.
  • International passport data, specifically the series and number.
  • Indication of the exact make of the vehicle and registration plate.
  • A certificate confirming registration for the route presented.
  • The composition of the citizens who will accompany the applicant, the validity period of foreign passports and personal data are also recorded.

The itinerary document must provide access to the following information regarding the settlements where citizens stopped during the trip:

  • The full name of the locality with all the information about it.
  • Date of stop and name of place with mailing address, telephone number and location.

You also need to indicate the expiration date of the Schengen visa for adjustments to the travel date. The end date must coincide with the crossing of the Russian border. You need to make a full travel plan to notify the country's consulate.

Hotel booking is accompanied by receipt of confirmation, since the consulates of some countries are required to provide official documents confirming the availability of the reservation to the hotel. To obtain confirmation, in some cases it is necessary to write a letter of request to the hotel.

What columns should you pay attention to?

When filling out the route sheet, do not neglect the exact data of the intended route. This is because the application can be withdrawn. The data is used to ensure the safety of citizens and the security of tourists who come to the country. It is also necessary to accurately indicate passport details and all information regarding the transport on which the movement will be carried out. It is best to draw up a route sheet using a template.

The vehicle must have a verified registration plate and the exact model is required. When filling out documents, it is necessary to accurately lay out the route through populated areas and overnight stops. The hotel name and full address are required, and for some countries you must provide proof of a valid reservation.

Sample of a complete itinerary for a Schengen visa

Note! A trip by car to another country is carried out with a route sheet for the possibility of paying out insurance in case of accidents, so the exact route with entries and exits from populated areas and places of overnight stay is always indicated. Also, in the event of a vehicle breakdown, everything will be reimbursed by insurance when specifying the model and registration plate.

Many people neglect the general route, which runs through certain cities outside Schengen, as a result of which the route sheet does not have complete information. Members of the Schengen Agreement have strict parking requirements that must be strictly adhered to. Parking spaces are marked with special signs and dedicated lanes. To travel to the Schengen territory, it is recommended to know English.

Traveling abroad with your own car is convenient and profitable, as you can see many beautiful places. For this, in addition to standard documents, a visa and a passport, you also need an itinerary sheet. Having filled out the document correctly, the traveler will not have any difficulties with movement.

What is a route sheet

If you do not tell immigration officials where and how you intend to travel, you may have problems obtaining a permit stamp.

So, what is a route sheet? As the name suggests, this is a paper that contains basic information about the upcoming trip, as well as about your vehicle.

Embassy or consulate officials should be aware of when you plan to leave your country of residence and whether you intend to return soon, as well as where you will live while in another state.

Why is it so important to indicate a more or less precise route for a visa, even if you like spontaneous decisions and do not yet know which city you will stay in the next day upon arrival in another country? As you can easily guess, such information is needed to clear yourself of all suspicions.

If you are planning a “combined” trip, you may be given a visa for a shorter period than if you were staying in the same hotel and attaching a room reservation certificate. Immigration officers are accustomed to situations where a person seems to accidentally get lost in another country. And no matter how honest a tourist you are, customs officers have no guarantee that you are not planning to move abroad as an immigrant.

Example of an itinerary (travel plan) for a Schengen visa

An easy way to travel to another country is by air or train. To cross the border by plane or train, you only need a visa and a foreign passport. But those who like to travel in their own car make a little more effort, because in order to get the desired visa, they will have to draw up an itinerary.

In this article we will talk about what this document is, how to draw it up and what you cannot do without when planning a trip. You will also find a sample itinerary sheet for a visa here.

Dear readers! Our articles talk about typical ways to resolve legal issues, but each case is unique.

How to create an itinerary for a Schengen visa?

Making a travel plan for a Schengen visa is very simple.
When going to travel around Europe on your own, you definitely need to draw up an itinerary for a Schengen visa. Without this document, it is impossible to obtain permission when traveling in your own car. When preparing for their first individual trip, many are concerned about the question of how to draw up an itinerary for a visa and the rules for its registration.

The itinerary is drawn up in free form, but should give a clear idea of the traveler’s route through the Schengen zone.

Before you start preparing your itinerary, it is recommended to draw up a clear, detailed travel plan for a Schengen visa. Such a plan is rarely required by the Consulate when issuing permits; rather, the traveler himself needs it to plan his time, expenses and draw up the optimal travel route.

Important! The plan should display all places, cities, events that are planned to be visited.

If you plan to travel by public transport (train, bus, etc.), then it would be a good idea to indicate in your plan the route, cost and flight schedule. This will help you not get confused on the road, without wasting extra time on orientation.

When answering the question of how to write a travel plan for a Schengen visa, think about the time and place of visit, overnight stays, and transport routes along which you will get there. The plan should roughly look like this:

The more detailed the travel plan is, the easier the trip will be. When planning to visit attractions, check their opening hours and ticket prices in advance. This will help you quickly navigate and adjust plans in case of unforeseen situations.

About the route sheet

Already from the name it follows that the route sheet is a document in which you describe your route. It is compiled in free form; no special forms or sheets with stamps, watermarks, etc. are needed . If you are going to travel around Europe by car, you will not be given a visa without an itinerary.

This is interesting: What documents are needed to obtain Russian citizenship

Let's figure out why this document is needed. If you flew to Europe from a travel agency, with a booked hotel and specific travel dates, there would be fewer questions, because the migration service knows where you should live and how to look for you if necessary. If you travel by car, then your movements are not tracked or controlled in any way.

In order to keep abreast of your movements, migration services request route sheets with a plan for your upcoming trip.

When and who will need it

This document is necessary for everyone who wants to travel around Europe in their own car. A description of the route is prepared along with all documents for obtaining a visa, because The route sheet will be required from you not at the border, but at the consulate.

Important ! An itinerary is one of the most important documents for anyone traveling to Europe by car; without it, you will be denied a visa.

How to make a route sheet?

Start with a trip plan

Before you start drawing up your itinerary, prepare a little cheat sheet for yourself: a travel plan for visas. Take a piece of paper or open a word processor on your computer and write down in detail where, when and why you will be during your trip.

For example: “On Monday, June 10, 2020, I plan to leave St. Petersburg for Helsinki, where I will check into the Dream Hotel.” I'll be doing some sightseeing throughout the day." Write down each day of your stay in Finland in this way. It is not necessary to schedule it by hour, just indicate key information: where you will live, when you will arrive and leave, what you will do (approximately).

If you are planning a long trip to several cities or countries at once, then indicate the dates when you plan to arrive in the new city/country, the day of travel and hotel contact details.

Let's move on to drawing up a route sheet

After writing the plan, it will be easier for you to correctly draw up a route sheet. The plan can be written in the way that is convenient for you, but it is better to write the route sheet concisely, but indicating important information.

Below you can see an example of an itinerary for a trip to several countries and cities at once. The route sheet was drawn up based on a pre-thought-out plan:

Please note that the document looks concise, but all important information is indicated. We also recommend adding the hotel's phone number.

If you have the opportunity, draw up a route sheet on the computer, having previously made such a convenient table as in the example above. It will be convenient for a visa officer to read such a detailed, but well-done itinerary sheet.

After drawing up the route sheet, attach it to the set of documents. Keep the plan for yourself, you will need it later. While traveling, you can check at any moment what you have planned for the next day. It is very comfortable.

Let's summarize

Follow a simple algorithm to create a route sheet correctly:

  1. Prepare a detailed travel plan. Write where you are going, on what dates, where you will live and what you plan to do;
  2. In MS Word, make a table as in the example above;
  3. Fill it out based on the plan. Indicate the exact dates of travel, names of countries and cities. Also indicate the name of the hotel where you plan to stay, address and contact phone number;
  4. Print out the route sheet on a printer in several copies, attach one of them to the set of documents.

Compilation rules

There is no clear rule for writing a route description. You have the right to do this in the way that is most convenient: in the form of a sign, bullet points, or continuous text. In the example of a visa route sheet, which is in this article, you will see a description in the form of a table, but you can write your own in the form that you consider optimal. The form of this document is not important, the content is much more important. It is better that the information in the route sheet is in English.

Before you begin describing your trip, consult a guidebook for the area where you want to go. The main task is to find out about all the most popular and interesting attractions and choose from them those that you definitely need to visit. Next, all that remains is to draw up a route, find places to spend the night and add it all to the route sheet.

Important ! While working with the map and guidebook, pay attention to the intercity routes along which you plan to travel from one city to another. Some roads may be under repair or closed during travel for various reasons.

Before adding a particular hotel to your itinerary description, book a room there and print out a confirmation of your reservation. Thus, for each hotel on the list there must be confirmation that you really plan to stay there.

The route sheet should be as complete and detailed as possible. It is better to indicate all planned stops. If you plan to travel overnight from one country to another, and you want to stay overnight at some roadside motel, then it is better to find this very motel, indicate its name and address. Or if you want, for example, to arrange a country trip to waterfalls, also write this down on the sheet.

Required data:

  • dates - on which dates the main movements occur;
  • cities and countries - where you plan to stay on the specified dates;
  • hotels or apartments - rooms must be reserved in them.

The last line in the document should be the date of departure from the EU territory. Most likely, your visa will expire on this date. Therefore, if you are not sure that everything will go smoothly, it is better to add a couple of days in case of unforeseen circumstances. On the route sheet, put your signature with a transcript; no stamps from a notary are required.

Of course, the road sometimes throws up troubles, so in any case, take into account changes in plans. The description of the route does not oblige you to strictly follow it and leaves the opportunity for spontaneous trips to a neighboring city or change of direction.

A route sheet is just rough plans, but on a long journey plans are always adjusted, and everyone understands this. If instead of Germany you go to Paris for one day, nothing bad will happen. The main thing is to leave the country on time and not linger there.

Important ! In your itinerary, indicate only those movements that you will make after crossing the EU border. Your route description should begin not from leaving home, but from the day you entered the territory of the first EU country.

What is a route sheet and why is it needed?

Important! Please keep in mind that:

  • Each case is unique and individual.
  • A thorough study of the issue does not always guarantee a positive outcome. It depends on many factors.

To get the most detailed advice on your issue, you just need to choose any of the options offered:

  • Use the online chat in the lower corner of the screen.
  • Call: Federal number: +7 (800) 511-86-74

The itinerary indicates dates, countries and hotels. If the night is spent in transport, for example, on a train and there is no hotel reservation for that night, then this must be specifically indicated in the itinerary. If you plan to spend the night in a car, then this should be done only in specially equipped parking lots. And the route sheet will need to indicate the name of the car camping site and its address. The visa officer needs to know when you will arrive in the country, how many days you will stay there, where you will live and when you will leave the country. In addition to the above information, the itinerary may include information about the attractions you want to see. If you want to travel through several countries, then the visa officer needs to decide whether you are legally applying for a visa to his country, or whether you need to apply to the country where you are going to spend the most days. Usually the form of the route sheet is not regulated and is drawn up in free form. For Japan visa only, the travel plan form is strictly regulated and must be filled out according to the specified form, otherwise it will not be accepted by the embassy.

For a Schengen visa, an itinerary must be prepared if you are visiting several Schengen countries in one trip, or if you are traveling by car. In such cases, when applying for a visa, the itinerary sheet becomes a mandatory document, and you will not be able to submit your documents for a visa without it. The best presentation of information in the route sheet is in the form of a table. The itinerary provides accurate information about the tourist’s upcoming trip through the territory of the Schengen countries, and for this, the traveler must first develop a travel plan, book accommodation, buy or book tickets.

What you can't do without

Alas, a visa and an itinerary are not all you need to travel to Europe in your own car. Next, we will look at what a Russian traveler cannot do without on a trip to Europe.

Driver license

All countries in the world are divided into three groups:

  • signatories to the Geneva Convention;
  • signatories to the Vienna Convention;
  • didn't sign anything.

In accordance with the signed (or unsigned) document, states can be divided into those where a Russian driver’s license is valid and those where it is not.

So, a Russian may not receive international rights if he travels to countries that have signed the Vienna Convention. This document was signed by almost all European states, except: Ireland, Iceland, the Vatican, Cyprus, Albania and the Netherlands.

However, the new driver's license is causing some confusion abroad. This is due to the fact that the inscription “Driver’s license” itself does not have any translation into European languages.

There were cases when local police refused to recognize Russian rights. To do this, it is better to have a printed copy of the Vienna Convention in English with you as proof that you are right. If you don’t want to argue with anyone again and waste your nerves defending your rights, then we advise you to immediately obtain an international driving license.

Green map

Green Card is mandatory international insurance for the car you are going on a trip with. You can buy such a card from any Russian insurance company. The card is valid from the day you cross the European border. You need to buy insurance no earlier than a month before the start of your trip.

Power of attorney and vehicle registration certificate

A power of attorney will be needed if the car is not yours, and its owner has decided not to go with you to Europe. The power of attorney must indicate that the driver has the right to take the vehicle abroad. The power of attorney must be certified by a notary.

A registration certificate will be required in any case. Take with you the original, a certified translation and a couple of photocopies.

Itinerary for a visa: sample preparation

Some travelers prefer to have their trip organized by a travel agency. Others like to organize their own trip in their own car along their own route. Of course, this type of tourism is accompanied by additional hassle when processing documents.

To travel to European countries such as France or Italy, you will need a Schengen visa, and to obtain it, you need an itinerary with a detailed description of the planned trip. We will tell you what a sample route sheet looks like and how to compose it in our article.

This is interesting: Sample claim for bankruptcy

Filling out an itinerary for a visa

If you don’t want to waste time searching for a map, creating a table and other “decorations”, then you can create a route sheet with scant text, literally on one page.

Naturally, the document must be certified with your signature. Then it is advisable to translate it into the language of the country of arrival - it is not necessary to notarize it. And one more nuance: all information about yourself and passengers must be written down in the same way as in the international passport (and in the English version the traveler’s middle name is not indicated). So, when filling out the appropriate fields, double and triple check what you have written.

Finally, it is worth noting that the route sheet does not limit your actions. If, upon arrival in another country, you still want to slightly adjust the “flight” trajectory - go ahead, there will be no problems! Just don’t stay abroad for a few more days - untimely departure may result in the imposition of sanctions on your further plans.

What is a visa route sheet?

Usually, when traveling abroad by plane, bus or train, you will need a passport and visa at the border. But if you plan to travel by personal car, then at the time of Schengen registration, the Consulate staff will ask for a route sheet. It is necessary for persons who travel by private car.

A route sheet is an official document that is of a legislative, regulatory, directive or informational nature.

According to generally accepted standards, the route sheet reflects data on the movements of a foreigner across the territory of one or more Schengen states. It should be noted that the Schengen countries do not put forward any special requirements for the execution of this document. The main condition is proper formatting, no spelling errors, notes, or corrections.

For travel by road, a detailed travel plan must be submitted to the consulates of the destination countries. It should be divided into specific days of stay at each specific point. In addition, you will need to make a reservation in a hostel or hotel room.

And in such situations, it is necessary to write down the name of the campsite, its address, entry and exit dates in the route sheet.

What is a route sheet for a Schengen visa

As a rule, when traveling abroad on a ship, airbus, train or bus, a foreign citizen presents only a foreign passport and a visa. If you plan to travel by personal vehicle, then to obtain a Schengen visa you must present an itinerary sheet. It is necessary for persons traveling by car.

Definition

In fact, a route sheet is one of the varieties of an official document in accordance with the instructions of the Federal Law “On the Mandatory Deposit of Documents”. The act was issued on December 29, 1994 under number 77-FZ. His instructions note that the official document is of a legislative, regulatory, directive or informational nature.

According to generally accepted rules, the route sheet contains information regarding the movement of a foreign citizen through the territory of one or more countries in the Schengen area. It is necessary to pay attention to the fact that no country in the Schengen zone has any special requirements for its registration. But it must be written correctly, without any spelling errors, corrections or blots.

When required

To travel by vehicle, a detailed travel plan is provided to the consulate of the destination country. It should be divided into separate days of stay in each locality. In addition, a reservation for a room in a hostel or hotel is required.

If the trip is made in a vehicle suitable for living, then you can only stop at a special parking lot.

As a rule, car camping sites do not provide reservations and do not have an email address. In addition, there are no places for setting up a tent on its territory.

Circumstances cause some difficulties when obtaining a Schengen visa intended for traveling by car . The phenomenon is directly related to the fact that the route sheet must indicate the name of the campsite, its location, the date of arrival and departure.

What does the form contain?

Consulates and visa centers are interested in directions of movement within the host country. The countdown begins from the moment the motor tourist crosses the border of the Schengen zone, which is the day the visa is issued. He must have a hotel reservation for that day.

In the route sheet, you must describe the route in detail, indicate settlements and arrival times.

The measure will avoid problems associated with document checks in the host country.

As a rule, when compiling it, the following is taken as a basis:

  • the route of the autotourist;
  • countries, settlements where he stops for an overnight stay or stay for a certain period of time;
  • calendar dates of movement around the country, entry and exit from the country or locality.

The best form of form for drawing up an itinerary sheet is a tabular one. It can clearly differentiate the information required by the consulate about the implementation of a foreign trip.

Sample route sheet

It should be noted that the legislator did not provide a unified form of route sheet for motorists traveling abroad in a personal vehicle. As a rule, it is compiled in any form in compliance with certain rules on content.

Sample: Itinerary sheet for Schengen visa (sample)

Note: it is planned to return to the city of Moscow through the Republic of Belarus, the date of departure from its territory is July 21, 2020. Stay on the territory of the Schengen countries from 07/06/17. to 07/20/17

Additional information that must be included in the route sheet :

  • year of birth;
  • series and number of the foreign passport;
  • car brand “—”, registration number —;
  • evidence of registration for the intended route;
  • a list of persons accompanying the autotourist, indicating their personal data, number and validity period of foreign passports.

What to pay attention to

The route sheet can be drawn up in any form with free placement of information. But it is mandatory to indicate the name of the locality, the date of stay at a particular hotel, its name, postal address and telephone number.

One of the important indicators is the expiration date of the Schengen visa. It must coincide with the date of crossing the border of the Russian state, so it would not be superfluous to indicate it on the route sheet.

Basic information

It should be noted that the legislation does not establish a single form:

  • FULL NAME. It is required to indicate the personal data of the leaving citizen: last name, first name and patronymic.
  • Route. Write down a complete movement plan. You must indicate the starting and ending point of the trip.
  • Date of departure from the Russian Federation. Please indicate the exact date of departure from Russia.
  • Date of crossing the border with a European country. Date, month and year of entry into the Schengen territory. It is important to provide accurate data; approximate data is not allowed. When filling out your own form, it is recommended to focus on the sample.
  • Address of residence in Europe, with number of days and dates. Consulate employees do not require a detailed report. It is enough to indicate the date of entry, for example, into Dresden, the place of stay (the address is indicated) and how many days you will stay in the city and when you will leave it. There is no point in indicating the places you plan to visit. If you plan to stay at a hotel for visitors, then get a voucher from there, it is important that it is official. When a room is booked online, you should print out the invitation. Pre-check online for the appearance of the invitation that should be attached.
  • The exact date of departure from the country. This date must fall on the date of crossing the Russian border, that is, the day following the last address in Europe

additional information

In addition to basic information, additional information should be included in the route sheet. This data is also important for Embassy employees:

  • The series and number of the foreign passport, and the period of its validity must be specified.

  • Brand, registration number of the vehicle that will be used to move during the trip.
  • Confirmations of reservations at hotels that will be used along the way.
  • When there are other people on the trip, be sure to indicate the personal details of each person on the list.

As a rule, when making such a trip, citizens are interested in filling out the details: how to fill out an itinerary sheet so as not to be refused by the embassy. Those who have experience with such trips argue that honest information should be provided.

Features and rules for designing the route sheet form

Drawing up a route sheet according to the standard form will not cause problems. This form is a summary table that contains all the trip planning. It should contain personal information about all tourists who make the trip, the final route, periods and places of stay.

It would be good if all this was translated into the official language of the country where you are going. It should be noted that the translated route sheet, unlike many other documents, does not need to be certified by a notary; it will be recognized as such.

When it is not clear exactly how to draw up this document, it is better to take forms from the Internet as a sample. This will help you fill out the form so as not to be refused acceptance of the document by the embassy.

A sample itinerary for Schengen looks like this:

  • List of cities (settlements, regions) that are planned to be visited during the trip.
  • List of hotels (hotels, hostels) that will be used for overnight stays.
  • A printed map (A4 format will be sufficient) with schematic hand-written route signs.

This document in itself is not a basis for a visit. The justification may be:

  1. Tourist voucher.
  2. Agreement to receive medical services.
  3. Employment contract.
  4. Hotel reservation.

Drawing up an itinerary implies independent planning of the trip, which means the tourist is obliged to attach a reservation at each hotel that is planned to be used during the trip.

Features of filling out a visa form
