Do you need a visa to Ukraine in 2021? This question is relevant for many Russians who have relatives and friends living in a neighboring country. For short-term trips to visit loved ones, special entry documents are not required. You will not need permits for short-term tourist, business, work and other visits. Thus, a visa regime with Ukraine was not introduced in 2021.
Despite serious disagreements between Moscow and Kiev, ordinary Russians and Ukrainians were not affected by the political confrontation. The long-promised visa regime with Ukraine has not yet been introduced. In 2021, the rules for visiting the former Soviet republic remain the same. If the trip is not long-term, a visa to an Eastern European country is not issued.

The rules are quite strict. At the same time as these changes, Ukraine is tightening responsibility for illegal employment, training, rental housing, registration actions in relation to foreigners and stateless persons, and for violations of migration legislation.
Important! Ukrainian border guards apply strict control to Russian men of military age and strong physique, especially those who travel in a group.
They are relatively loyal to those Russian men who are married to a Ukrainian citizen, travel with her, present a marriage certificate, stamps in their passports, confirm the purpose of the visit, etc.

Crimea: difficult visa transition period
The Crimean Peninsula is a special case in terms of the visa regime, the complexity of which lies in the fact that despite the fact that this territory is part of the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian authorities continue to declare the illegality of the transition of Crimea to Russian jurisdiction and claim that all foreigners can visit the peninsula only with permission from Ukraine.
It is assumed that in order to obtain permission to enter the territory of Crimea, foreign citizens must somehow contact the Ukrainian authorities. But the vast majority of foreigners arrive directly in Crimea, bypassing Ukrainian border guards. According to the same theory, if a foreigner is already on the territory of Ukraine, he does not need any separate permits to visit Crimea - but in practice, he is met at the checkpoint by Russian border guards and presented with Russian requirements for the visa regime.
As for Ukrainians and Russians, Ukrainians only need to have an internal passport to enter the peninsula, while Russians visit Crimea like any other Russian territory.
Separately, mention can be made of those Ukrainians who moved to Crimea after the referendum on annexing the peninsula to Russia. Due to the lack of Crimean registration, their passports are not exchanged for Russian ones, but local authorities treat their stay in Crimea leniently and can only put forward requirements for registration (place of residence) and employment.
Features of the regime between Russia and Ukraine
Even with the aggravation of the situation with Russia and Ukraine in 2014, global changes began in the country’s entry policy.
From January 1, 2021, new measures will come into force that will further limit and complicate the passage of Russian citizens across the state border of Ukraine.
Such innovations include:
- Biometric passports contain more information about the owner, which means the customs officer will have less reason not to let you through
Mandatory presence of a foreign passport. If before the conflict a citizen of the Russian Federation could cross the border with Ukraine using a Russian passport, today it is imperative to have a foreign passport with you. Previously, preferential conditions for clearing customs were provided by the rules of the CIS countries, but now Ukraine is tightening the rules in order to avoid “sabotage groups” entering the country’s territory. It is best to have a new type of passport, not an old one - with it you have a better chance of getting into the country. Biometric passports contain more information about the owner, which means the customs officer will have less reason not to let you through.
- Fingerprinting. Fingerprinting is the procedure of taking fingerprints. Currently, it is carried out to obtain Schengen visas to EU countries. Although Russia and Ukraine still have a visa-free regime, from January 1 of the new year it obliges all foreigners (including Russians) to undergo the procedure of taking all 10 fingerprints. Previously, the authorities stated that this procedure would be carried out only for those who do not have a biometric passport, but now the procedure has become mandatory for everyone.
How to get a work visa to the USA?
A work visa to America can be immigrant or non-immigrant.
US law provides approximately 140,000 employment-based immigrant visas each fiscal year (October 1 - September 30). Those who know English at a sufficient level and have the appropriate professional qualifications can most count on a work visa. Finding a job is the most important and responsible stage. Competition in the labor market is very high, so finding a position in America is not easy, since this procedure is quite lengthy, multi-stage and expensive. In order to be able to hire a foreigner, a US company must obtain permission from the Department of Labor and enlist the support of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
To do this, the employer must file a petition about the employee and wait for it to be approved by Citizenship and Immigration Services. The petition can be submitted six months before the expected visa opening date. The consideration of the petition lasts approximately from 2 weeks to 6 months. If a positive decision is made, the employing company will receive a notification. You need to apply for a visa only after approval from the Citizenship and Immigration Services.
