Sample of filling out an application form for a visa to Hungary

Requirements for the application form

When filling out an application for a visa to Hungary, you need to take into account a few simple rules so that the center employees do not have any complaints. First of all, a citizen should pay attention to the following points:

  • Enter information into the form legibly, in block letters;
  • You cannot correct, cross out or paint over anything with a proofreader;
  • You only need to use pens with blue or black ink;
  • It is important to provide personal information in accordance with valid data;
  • You should use Latin letters (for example, repeat your full name in the same way as in a foreign passport), as well as Hungarian or English;
  • If some item is not required to be filled out, there is no need to put a dash in it - leave it blank.

You can fill out the contents of the visa application form using a computer, and then print it out on 1 or 2 sides on A4 sheet and add it to the prepared package of documents.

Filling out sheet No. 1 of the questionnaire

In the upper left corner you will see a designated place for a photo, but you do not need to cut out and paste your photo yourself. This will be done by consulate staff.

In columns 1 and 3, indicate your last name and first name exactly as it is written in your passport.

In column 2 you must indicate your previous last name, and maybe your last name. For example, for women it may be a surname carried before marriage.

In column 4, indicate the date of birth in the same format as written in the foreign passport, that is, day (DD), month (MM), year (YYYY).

Box 5 - here I entered my place of birth, as indicated in the international passport. However, it is written there in Russian, so on the form I simply write in translit.

Column 6 - I was born before 1991 in a country called the USSR, so I write USSR. Actually, this is what is indicated in the passport.

In column 7 we report your citizenship at present, as well as at birth.

Column 8 - indicate gender, that is, gender - male or female, marking the desired item with a checkmark or a cross, it makes no difference.

Box 9 - tick your marital status. Moreover, please note that even if you have been divorced for a very long time, then this is the point that needs to be addressed, and not “Single/not married.”

This part of sheet No. 1 looks like this:

Let's go further. We skip points 10 and 11 without entering anything there.

In column 12, you must indicate the type of travel document, in our case it is a foreign passport, so we tick the “Regular passport” box.

In columns numbered 13, 14 and 15, simply rewrite the information exactly as indicated in your passport on the photo page.

Column 16 - “Issued by.” Here again we write in transliteration the name of the authority that issued your passport. For example, the passport says that it was issued FMS6602, then we enter FMS6602 in the application form.

Box 17 - Enter your home address and email address, as well as a contact telephone number. You can translate into Hungarian or English

. I didn’t do this, but simply, as in the previous case, made the necessary entry in Russian in Latin letters.

Column 18 - I leave it blank, because I always stay in the country of my citizenship, that is, in Russia.

Column 19 - indicate your position at the place of work. I did not write down the full name of my position, because

. it will not fit completely into any form, but limited itself to the general concept, simply writing in transliteration - “Specialist”, that is, it turned out to be “Specialist”.

Column 20 - must indicate the name of your employer, its address and contact telephone number. Full decryption is not required in this case.

. For example, if you work at the State Unitary Enterprise "Romashka", then it is enough to indicate - GUP "Romashka".

Look how I did it:

That's it, sheet No. 1 is ready!

Step-by-step instruction

The full version of the application consists of 3 sheets. When the complete set of the form is ready, you should start processing it. When studying the rules on how to fill out an application for a visa to Hungary, you should pay attention to the features of each part. To enter information on the first page without errors, you should follow these recommendations:

  • FI are duplicated from the international passport;
  • the surname given at birth is indicated only when, for any reason, the surname taken in marriage has changed;

  • the date of birth is filled in the format “DD-MM-YYYY” with Arabic numerals;
  • in the “Place of Birth” column you should indicate the name that the city had at the time of your birth, even if it subsequently changed;
  • the country of birth is also indicated based on the data on the birth certificate;
  • citizenship is entered according to the fact;
  • Gender should be indicated with a tick;
  • in marital status, you must select one of the proposed items (“single”, “married”, “not living with a spouse”, “divorced”, “widower” or “registered partnership” for same-sex marriages) ;

  • for minors, you must additionally indicate the details of the parents (or legal representatives, guardians) of the child;
  • you don’t have to fill out an identification number - Russian citizens don’t have one;
  • in the travel document category, the type of passport is noted and its number is indicated (for a foreign passport, you should enter only the numbers together, and there is no need to put the “No” sign);
  • note the date of registration and expiration of the identity document, as well as who issued it (transliterate the data);

  • in the home address column the residential address (registration) and zip code are indicated, and the house and apartment are written with a hyphen;
  • opposite “Host country” you should check the appropriate box (“yes” if you live in the Russian Federation, indicating the residence permit number; “no” if you live in another state);
  • describe your position according to the information from the certificate of employment (profession is indicated in English, including information about schoolchildren, students, housewives and the unemployed);
  • Additionally, information about the employer is entered (index, address and work number of the company, name of the organization or educational institution in Latin letters).

Next, a sample of filling out the application form for Hungary goes to the second page. To obtain a Schengen visa, you should provide truthful information in the proposed format:

The third page of the form is reserved for formal points that must be confirmed by every citizen applying for a Schengen visa to Hungary. The final part of the questionnaire includes:

  • information about the place and date of submission of documents;
  • personal signature of the applicant (a representative or guardian must sign instead of minors);
  • confirm that you have received as much information as possible that “in case of refusal, the visa fee is non-refundable” and “health insurance is required for your first stay and subsequent visits” (for a multiple-entry visa).

Now the completed application form should be re-checked for errors (correctness and reliability of the entered data), after which it, along with the rest of the papers, can be submitted to the visa center for consideration of your application.

Filling out sheet No. 2 of the questionnaire

The next number of our program must indicate the main purpose of the trip. To do this, in column 21 we boldly tick the “Tourism” item.

Next, in column 22 we indicate the country of destination, in our case Hungary. I looked in the Russian-English dictionary for the name of this country in English and wrote it in - “Hungary”. It would have been possible to write “Vengriya”, the result would have been the same.

Column 23 - we also indicate Hungary, if it is also the country of first entry into the Schengen zone.

Boxes 24 and 25 - indicate the desired length of stay. My goal was to obtain a visa for multiple entry within a year, so I noted in column 24 - “For multiple entry”, and in column 25 I indicated the number of days - 90.

The result looks like this:

In column 26 it is necessary to indicate the validity periods of previous Schengen visas, if any, for the last three years. We do not take into account later periods.

In column 27, indicate whether your fingerprints were taken before when applying for a Schengen visa, that is, “No” or “Yes.”

Box 29 - here I indicated the date of my entry into Hungary, and therefore into the Schengen zone. It's simple. The arrival date is included in the air ticket purchased in advance.

Box 30 is the expected date of departure from the Schengen area. I requested a one-year visa, so I counted exactly one year from the entry date indicated in box 29.

Box 31 - indicate the exact address where you will live in Hungary. I indicated the name, address and telephone number of the hotel from the reservation sheet received on the website Hotellook.ru.

Next, in column 33 you must indicate who will pay for your expenses during the trip and by what means. I, for example, oh, since I have no sponsors

. In addition, she indicated such means as “Cash”, “Credit card”. Since I had already booked a hotel room, I checked the checkbox next to “Prepaid accommodation.”

How to get a visa to Hungary on your own

From September 14, 2015, the procedure for submitting documents for obtaining a Schengen visa has been changed. We are talking about the first submission, and this is due to the need for the applicant to submit his biometric data. The process involves scanning fingerprints from both hands and obtaining a digital photograph of the person who wishes to apply for a visa.

All received data must be entered into the VIS information database and stored for the next 5 years. There is no need to re-submit your fingerprints during this period. The transfer to each new visa will take place automatically. The only exceptions are isolated situations that are caused by instructions from the consulate when any questions or suspicions arise.

Design options

The visa itself can be obtained in several ways, namely:

  1. When contacting a travel agency, this is the simplest and fastest, but at the same time quite expensive option from a financial point of view;
  2. When visiting the Hungarian Embassy on your own, this is the least expensive solution in terms of money. You can sign up not only in person, but also through an online application. The date and time of the visit is chosen by the applicant independently. To submit an application, go to the official website of the Embassy. Here you can familiarize yourself in more detail with all the questions of interest and receive comprehensive explanations on the documents that are required for registration;
  3. Seek help from an accredited partner - which provides comprehensive support when obtaining visas to travel to Hungary. This is the most convenient option, which allows you to perform all the required procedures as close as possible to your home. The provider's representative offices are scattered throughout the Russian Federation.

Visa procedure

To obtain a visa, you must complete a number of certain actions, namely:

  • Determine whether you need a specific visa. If a short-term stay is expected, then a class C visa is required. For a long stay in the country, a D visa will be relevant;
  • Prepare the entire package of required documents. The full list can be found on the official website of the Embassy;
  • Make an appointment and submit biometric data (when you first apply for a visa);
  • Make all required payments and deductions;
  • Submit documents for consideration.

After this, you just have to wait for a favorable decision. You should be aware of the deadlines for review and issuance of permits. The procedure takes a certain period, which is regulated by law. Therefore, you should not hope to receive permission the next day after applying.
